About the Client:

Our client is a leading construction company in India,

Position description Summary:

Responsible for implementation for assigned hydro project, meeting : Cost, Time, and Quality parameters. Responsible for accelerating progress, reducing costs.

Key result areas:

Meet or exceed following performance targets:
Execution of work as per specified construction design and drawings provided by client.
Completion of projects as per timelines in construction plan.
Quality and safety parameters as per construction methodology.
Material consumption as per material consumption parameters.

Key accountabilities:

1. Project Planning and Organizing:
a) Prepare detailed construction methodology Network Schedule jointly with Works Managers, fixing weekly/ monthly targets, whereby billing for work done generates necessary revenues to independently manage all site expenses.
Obtain commitments for meeting targets.
b) Discuss and obtain from Head – Plant & Equipment the support plan for meeting production targets, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support and supply of core materials, equipment and machinery
c) Lay down procedures in line with construction methodology for implementing construction drawings. Provide technical inputs as necessary.

2. Execution and Supervision:
a) Regularly monitor physical progress. Speed up tempo, if work is flagging. Analyse work stoppages and idle time. Take beforehand corrective steps to ensure production targets are consistently met.
b) Reconciliation of work done ; measurement and abstract.
c) Joint record with client in case of idling, extra work, accident etc.

3. Project Management:
a) Monitor physical progress and financial health of the Project based on regular feedback and reports from Production Team. Analyse shortfall in production, and excessive consumption of materials. Chalk out corrective steps to be adopted for closing gaps, jointly with Team members. . Keep check on expenses and carry out cost reduction exercises periodically, as necessary.
b) To generate MIS and provide reports to HO in standard formats as per dead lines.

4. Health Safety and Environment:
a) To ensure safe working practices are adopted at site and to take immediate action on deviations.
b) To monitor adherence to laid down standards on handling of garbage or waste

Candidate Profile:
